Foundation :
Established in March 1963, Mr. Babulal Sobhachand Gugale is the founder member of M/s Babulal Kantilal. Initially, the shop was located in Bhawani Peth, Pune and then in 1980 it was relocated to Market Yard, Pune where it currently resides.Initially this organization dealt in all types of food grains like Rice, Wheat, Jwari, Bajra etc but in 1985 it started concentrating on Rice. This was the first organization to distribute the best & high quality rice that was available throughout the India to its customer. Good customer feedback inspired this firm to expand business in this field and meet the exceeding demands of its customer.
Focus on Basmati Rice :
In year 1987-1988, this organization started focusing on the Basmati Rice. The quality basmati rice from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi was made available to the customers of Maharashtra. It started accepting the distributorship of various brands of rice throughout Maharashtra and became a very well known organization in the field of Basmati Rice. As this firm was distributor for overall Maharashtra, it expanded its business from Nagpur to Kolhapur. Thus, this firm started gaining the prestige, goodwill and became one of top organization in this field.
